The following work is showing the process of creating stage design and backdrop for the performance ‘Guld!’ by Kind of Opera (2022).
One criteria for the stage props was that they had to fit into a car. The solution became to create the backgrounds upon a number of foldable crates, which then would be positioned around by the actors themselves.
The following illustration shows the various backgrounds to the corresponding scenes and how the actors would place them during scene changes.
